I been workin on somethin a little different for Bay On Fire.
Bay On Fire Presents: The Come Up.

The Come Up is set in Oakland, in the Laurel/Dimond Districts.
You got 14 days to go from unknown artist to headliner.
You start at home on 39th Ave. From there, you gotta make your music, get outside, find your audience an earn your way onto bigger stages. You got limited time an money, so you gotta figure out what’s worth spendin both on.
You wanna work a shift so you can afford your next move? Shoot a video? Get your beat right? Spend the day sellin CDs?
That’s on you.
You can actually make your own beats.

You can build a three-song catalog too. Give your songs names, pick covers, plan the rollout an bring in featured artists. Then work wit the director on a shot list for your music video.
But havin a song don’t mean anybody heard it yet.
You gotta walk outside an play it for people. Hand out flyers, sell CDs hand to hand, put posters up along MacArthur. Get people to fuck wit you enough an you can recruit up to four of them into your street team.
The neighborhood got people you need to know.
Lil Mike, Nia an Omar each got their own missions for you. Your phone keeps up wit texts, missions, music, shows an the social feed, so check it while you movin around.
You can meet MF3, collab wit them an hear “Run To Me” on the block radio.
The neighborhood is a fictionalized version of the Laurel / Dimond Districts, wit familiar landmarks like the Laurel arch, Café Noir an LaFranchi's. Cars move through the streets, people are outside, an there’s places you can walk into.
The apartment was rebuilt from photos. You can stop by East Town Liquor and get snacks and Hennessy & Apple Juice.
Then there’s Fizzler on the Stoop.
He's hatin on anyone not fuckin wit him, he's bigger than Bay On Fire, an he ain’t tryna see anyone catch up. He’ll cover your posters, offer to buy you out, put out a diss track an tip off the cops.
You gotta deal wit him at the Stoop Showdown, pass him on the chart an earn your headline. Along the way, you work up from an opening slot to the Neighborhood Showcase, then The Local.
When you perform, you gotta read the room. Give one section a story, hit another wit the hook, get some call-and-response goin. You gotta pay attention to who’s in front of you.
There’s street hustles, but that money comes wit consequences. Pickpocketing, bippin an hittin the register can bring police, wanted stars an fines. Quik Stop is the made-up store involved in that system. The real businesses appear as neighborhood landmarks.
While you movin around, the radio shuffles real Bay music between Bay On Fire spots:
- Jynx of GoDav — “Melanin” an “On The Playground”
- MF3 x Yhung TO — “Run To Me”
- Pistola & JourneyBthaReason — “Barkin”
This is the first playable edition.
One neighborhood. A 14-day career. More planned.
Finish a run, put your stage name on the online leaderboard an see how you did. Your progress saves automatically in the browser, so you can come back to it.
You can play on your computer or turn your phone sideways an use the on-screen sticks. No separate download or install—the game loads right on the page. That first load is about 60 MB on desktop or 90 MB on phones, so give it a minute if your connection’s slow.
I want y’all to play it an tell me what you think. Tell me how far you got an what needs work.
You fuck wit us, come build wit us.
