Review: Keak Da Sneak – Withdrawl

image
Description

First lets start off by speaking to the beautifully crafted production by The Mekanix, this CD comes in at a time most needed, when rappers are being influenced by the mainstream and loosing touch with the true sound of the Bay Area.

The Mekanix produced a perfect mixture of classic Keak Da Sneak albums such as Copium, Sneakecydal and That’s My Word with an updated sound ready for the consumers of 2017.

The sample of E40’s Da Bubble on the single “Ima Keep It Goin” (featuring E40) brings back the mob style that the Bay Area is known for and sets the tone for the album early on and the single “For You” featuring Rayven Justice is a for sure radio hit(very reminiscent of Ain’t About Ya Looks by Lil Mikey TMB produced by The Mekanix).

Keak Da Sneak delivered on this album as expected, there’s a reason he’s a town legend. There was no expectation for him to join in with trends, this album was fresh out of a time capsule, un-phased by the current climate of the music industry and dedicated to providing quality music.

Tagging in Bay Area vets such as Dru Down, E40 and G-Stack sends a clear message that this album is meant to be played for years to come.

Ending with “Loving Me” sums the album’s vibe up perfectly with samples from Computer Love and It’s goin down tonight showing both sides, a soft melodic beat with hints of mobb music influence.

This album is a good mixture of songs for the streets and females this album was well worth the wait.
